I also love how deeply ingrained the whole both sideism thing is with these people. If you point out that one thing is objectively speaking better than another then you’re not being balanced. There always have two be two equally valid and opposing positions in their minds so that they can smugly live in the liberal centre.
I agree, but they only feel this way when the right is being criticized over the left. All opinions are equal, but some opinions are more equal than others.
Indeed, and the way they decide what the reasonable centre is entirely based on the anchoring bias of what they find familiar simply because it’s the environment they grew up in.
