Is there any demand for a vegan lemmy server?

The question is more whether there were animals products used in the production of the equipment. Computer screens are surprisingly non vegan was animal cholesterol is used as an ingredient in the display.
I thought that maybe the computer hardware, servers, etc, may be okay, but it turns out animal based glue is still sometimes used.
I’m not a vegan myself, so these are answers from a superficial Google search.
I’ve been hesitant but noticed the amount of downvotes vegans get from carnists surfing the servers’ ‘new’ timelines.
You’ll still get the same people downvoting unless you disable completely downvotes on the new server. I would say it’s up to you on whether you want to do that or maybe you can find another instance with downvotes already disabled that would be willing to host the vegan communities.
I think it would be a great idea.
This forum is particularly toxic, as due to the apparent audience here on Lemmy, any topics relating to veganism get brigaded and no real discussion can be had.
New posts should hopefully be a bit better, we have 3x the mods now.
I also think a vegan instance would be a good idea, but I worry it’ll end up the same (omnis sorting by new) if it federated with the rest of Lemmy.
Aren’t all servers vegan? If any eat meat I’m going to be REAL concerned.
Hi there! Your text contains links to other Lemmy communities, here are correct links for Lemmy users: [email protected]
@nm @vegan @vegancirclejerk I would join it if you did. The current vegan-related content over there is pretty minimal.

Lemmy is to reddit what mastodon is to twitter essentially.
Really simplified, lemmy is to reddit what mastodon is to twitter. A federated reddit alternative
