You get all the glory of a Reddit mod without any real oversight from anyone. The moment someone says something you don’t like BAM they are banned to the hinderlands
In a sense he is winning but the weight of the world on his shoulders prevents him from being able to stop and admire The View.

WaffleWarrior@lemmy.zipto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•what are the grievances with the "male loneliness epidemic"? [close this topic maybe?]54·1 month agoBeing a man is tricky. Full grown males can be physically dangerous and I think there is a subtle undercurrent of worry with all men they may be dealing with a hostile moron, or a worry someone may try to assert dominance. Men are organically closed off past a certain age because of this.
Men also experience allot of these weird power dynamics growing up. Both men and women kind of seek to control and bully youger boys and men until they come into their own…and suddenly they are grown and terrifying in some respects and everyone magically backs the f*** off. The threat is gone but the history is still there and it closes men off emotionally.

Are You a Possible Victim?English18·2 months agoThe only other thing that fascinated me more in regards to AI and psychosis that can develop …is the phenomenon of people not liking AI simply for the sake of not liking it.
I get it, I’m a hipster too, but when people purposely decide to morph into Will Smith from I Robot for no reason…it’s just silly 🙄
WaffleWarrior@lemmy.zipto Technology@lemmy.world•The Era of 'AI Psychosis' is Here. Are You a Possible Victim?English19·2 months agoThis simply isn’t true. In fact If you use it correctly the ability to learn things and use your brain is expanded 10 fold. The human brain is cranked to max speed when it comes to processing the sheer amount of Information it gets thrown at it in seconds via AI. When used correctly it can enhance one’s ability to learn about all types of things.

Are You a Possible Victim?English411·2 months agoI knew from the moment I deeply interacted with AI that this would be an issue. It’s wild and AI is bar far the coolest invention since the Internet. It’s a philosophers dream. It’s a playground for your brain! It’s a sparring partner for your thoughts and ideas to stress test them.
Having said that I can easily see so some losing their grip depending on how they are interacting with it.

WaffleWarrior@lemmy.zipto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•If You Have Choice then Which part would you choose to be born in?113·2 months agoOk but here’s the thing…in the US you are free to buy a Greyhound bus ticket and go to any major metropolis if you choose and seek gainful employment
If you stay away from drugs, don’t have kids out of wedlock, and don’t make stupid choices …you WILL not fail in America. Even if you do fail you can live quite comfortably with a mediocre job.
Meanwhile…in Honduras…
WaffleWarrior@lemmy.zipto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•If You Have Choice then Which part would you choose to be born in?111·2 months agoWhy don’t you go for a walk in almost any developing country and calm down.
WaffleWarrior@lemmy.zipto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•If You Have Choice then Which part would you choose to be born in?814·2 months agoThat’s cute…no…the us is nowhere near “golly I sure would t want to be born there.” Anyone who would even think that who is an American probably spends way too much time online and has never left the US

Why do I have to weekly opt out of location services again and again. If they don’t want me using the app without it, just block me. There need to be laws requiring all of this crap to be Opt IN if it’s devices are mixed with telecommunications
At least with iPhone all your app compatibility will still work… I feel like Android isn’t too bad privacy wise because with the implementation of private space. There are some cool tricks you can do to essentially shut off apps when not in use completely
