Osetia was attacked by Georgia in 2008 with some episodes like bombing the civilian housing with artillery, but the war was pretty brief because Russia intervened and Georgian army ran on first sign of spetsnaz. Transnistria is poorest country in Europe (second poorest now because Ukraine) because it’s very small to the point of not being sustainable and is being choked by the imperialist neighbors, currently it’s even worse because it’s ally of Russia and Ukraine is trying some shit there like terrorism to force Russia to send troops to protect them.
